Belly Dance basics and Intermediate Choreography class

Wednesdays: September 6th - December 15th

8:15-9:15 Intermediate Fusion Technique and Choreography
$45 members/$55 non-members, $30 YWCA Class Pass or $12 for single class drop-in

Belly Dance Basics: I welcome dancers of all levels to come and learn the beauty of Belly Dance. I plan the class in a way that challenges the advanced dancer while still staying accessible to newcomers! 
This class is open to dancers of all different dance backgrounds and levels. We will explore body isolations, shimmies, and basic layering techniques in a fun and supportive environment. Class consists of a full body warm-up, layering technique, across the floor movement, and finishes with a short combination.

Intermediate Fusion Choreography and Technique: We will explore movement in Belly Dance Fusion, by combining belly dance technique with other techniques from Central Asia and Modern/Contemporary movement vocabulary and put them into a Choreography. The choreography will have an optional performance opportunity WOWMAD in Oakland on April 15th. It is recommended that you have more than 1 year of prior belly dance knowledge.
